Worth turning on if you already run on HubSpot; not a reason on its own to switch CRMs, and the training toggle deserves a look before you do.

What it is

Breeze is the name HubSpot gave the AI built into its CRM, marketing, sales and service software. In July 2026 HubSpot launched Agent Hub and Agent Builder in public beta, and by its UNBOUND 2026 conference Agent Hub was live across all hubs from Starter up. Breeze Assistant, the chat assistant that works across HubSpot, keeps the name and is the front door to everything else.

Agent Hub is one place to see and manage AI agents. Ready-made agents include Content Agent (blogs, social posts, landing pages), Prospecting Agent (watches for buying signals and starts outreach), Customer Agent (answers support questions), Data Agent, Nurture Agent and Revenue Agent. Agent Builder lets you create custom agents on a no-code canvas, triggered by schedules, record changes or webhooks.

Most agents spend HubSpot Credits at $0.01 each. Since 14 April 2026, the Customer Agent costs 50 credits ($0.50) per resolved conversation and the Prospecting Agent 100 credits ($1.00) per recommended lead. From 15 October 2026 spending limits are on by default, capped at 50% above an account's monthly credits.

Our review

HubSpot's AI earns its place by living where the customer data already is. Agents can read contacts, deals, emails and tickets without a separate integration or field mapping, which standalone AI tools struggle to match. For existing customers, Customer Agent and Breeze Assistant are the easiest wins, and Customer Agent is billed only when it resolves a conversation without a human taking over within 72 hours.

Credits are where costs creep in. Content Agent spends 1,000 credits ($10) per piece, Revenue Agent 500 per invoice and Knowledge Base Agent 200 per article. Marketing Hub Professional includes just 3,000 credits a month, so three blog drafts use the allowance. A Service team with 2,000 resolved conversations a month spends 100,000 credits, roughly $970 beyond the included pool. Unused credits expire monthly.

HubSpot answered the bill-shock complaints on 15 October 2026 with spending limits on by default, set at up to 50% above monthly credits, plus per-feature caps and the option to swap unused seats for credits mid-contract. In its newer seats-and-credits pricing, sold in euros, Starter includes 5,000 credits, Professional 10,000 and Enterprise 15,000, a sign the older allowances were too thin.

The data terms need a decision from a Super Admin. HubSpot trains its own AI models on customer data by default; only a Super Admin can switch that off, the opt-out applies only from then on, and data already used cannot be removed. Third-party providers such as OpenAI are contractually barred from training on it, with zero retention "wherever possible". Accounts with Sensitive Data turned on are excluded automatically.

For a company not already on HubSpot, the arithmetic is Professional at $800 a month plus a $3,000 onboarding fee before a single agent runs. The AI is a good reason to stay on HubSpot and a weak reason to move to it; Attio, built AI-first for startups, is the lighter alternative to price against.

Where it earns its place

  • A 12-person support team on Service Hub Professional

Deflect routine tickets on chat and email

Customer Agent answers from the knowledge base and is billed 50 credits ($0.50) only when the conversation resolves without a hand-off for 72 hours. At 2,000 resolutions a month, expect about $1,000 in credits, much of it beyond the 3,000 included.

  • A two-person marketing team at a B2B SaaS firm

Produce blog drafts and landing pages without an agency

Content Agent costs 1,000 credits ($10) per piece. Twenty pieces a month is 20,000 credits, about $200, which is cheap next to freelance rates but nearly seven times the Professional allowance.

  • A RevOps engineer at a 200-person company

Build a custom lead-routing agent triggered by form fills

Agent Builder lets you define the trigger, steps and CRM actions on one canvas and draws on existing HubSpot data. Check permissions and audit trails before giving it write access, and set a per-feature credit cap.
