What it is
Magnific is what Freepik became on 28 April 2026. The Spanish company, best known for its stock image library, renamed itself after the AI upscaler it bought in 2024. Freepik accounts and subscriptions carried over, and freepik.com pricing now redirects to magnific.com.
The suite bundles image generation across outside models (Nano Banana, Flux, Recraft, Grok and others), video models such as Kling, Seedance, Hailuo and Veo, audio, editing, the Magnific upscaler and Spaces, a node-based canvas for chaining steps. It sits next to a stock library of more than 250 million photos, vectors and templates, and there is a separate developer API and an MCP server.
According to the company it has passed $230 million in annual recurring revenue and more than a million paying subscribers. Premium+ and above include unlimited generations on a named list of models; everything else spends credits, which on yearly plans arrive as one block valid for 12 months rather than resetting monthly.
Our review
Magnific sells volume rather than a model. It is a front end over other companies' generators, with its own upscaler, a stock library and the Spaces canvas on top, and its value depends on how much of your work fits the short list of models it treats as unlimited. The rebrand from Freepik in April 2026 changed the name, not the account: subscriptions carried over.
That list is narrower than the headline. On the pricing page, Premium+ unlimited covers Nano Banana 2 at 1K, Flux.2 Pro and Max at 1K, Recraft V4.1 Mid, Grok, Kling 2.5 at 720p and Hailuo 2.3 Fast. Higher resolutions and newer video models draw on credits: a 3-second Kling 4.0 clip at 1080p costs 840 credits and a 4-second Seedance 2.0 4K clip 5,600. Premium+ grants 600,000 credits a year, which the page itself translates into 107 of those Seedance clips.
Yearly billing changes how credits behave. They arrive as one block valid for a year, with no monthly reset, which suits seasonal campaign work but lets a team drain twelve months of credit in one launch. Every paid individual plan lists a commercial AI licence and 'no model training on your data', Premium+ adds music rights, and there is a 30-day refund guarantee. Third-party price lists for Magnific disagree with each other and with the live page, which shows local currency, so the regional checkout is the only figure to trust.
Engineers get more than most image suites offer. The API exposes the creative upscaler, Mystic image generation, Kling video and stock search, billed in credits, with published limits of 30,000 requests a minute per key and bursts of 50 a second per IP address. Against Krea, which also aggregates outside models, the stock library is the deciding difference; against Midjourney, Magnific gives up one consistent house style in exchange for switching models job by job.
Where it earns its place

Produce dozens of campaign stills and short clips every week
Premium+ at $33.75 a month per account on yearly billing covers unlimited Nano Banana 2 and Flux.2 stills at 1K and Kling 2.5 clips at 720p. Moving to 1080p video spends credits, 840 per 3-second Kling 4.0 clip against 600,000 a year.

Upscale seller product photos automatically through an API
The Magnific API has a creative upscaler endpoint billed in credits, with limits of 30,000 requests a minute per key and 10 requests a second averaged per IP over two minutes. Per-call API prices are not published on the pricing page.

The upscaler is on every paid plan, so Premium at $14.50 a month on yearly billing may be enough. Heavy 4K work uses credits quickly: Magnific One High 4K costs 250 credits an image, so 240,000 yearly credits cover 960 images.
