Gemini Enterprise

Google's work agent: one Gemini prompt box over your email, files and business apps, sold per seat through Google Cloud.

4.0/5

Gemini Enterprise is a strong work agent for companies that already run on Google, sold under a maze of editions and names that makes the bill harder to predict than it should be.

What is Gemini Enterprise?

Gemini Enterprise is Google Cloud's paid agent for companies, the successor to Agentspace. Staff ask questions or hand off tasks in one prompt box, and it searches and acts across connected systems under each person's existing permissions. Google lists more than 100 integrations, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Confluence, Jira, Salesforce, ServiceNow, GitHub and BigQuery.

It comes in Business, Standard, Plus, Pay-as-you-go and Frontline editions. Business, for 1 to 500 users, runs as a web app at business.gemini.google with no Cloud console; Standard and Plus add the full connector catalogue, the Agent Marketplace, your own code-built agents, enterprise security controls and AI developer tools including Antigravity.

On 8 October 2026 Google recast it as a single "Gemini agent" for work, which delegates long jobs to cloud machines, keeps memory across devices and can route work to Claude models as well as Gemini. Several of those features are still in early access.

Is Gemini Enterprise worth it?

The answer you need at work usually exists. It is just split across a Slack thread, a Jira ticket and a spreadsheet someone shared in March, and finding it takes longer than doing the job.

Gemini Enterprise is Google's attempt to fix that with one prompt box. It reads across more than 100 connected systems, Microsoft 365 and Salesforce as well as Google's own, and only shows each person what they could already open. Since 8 October it is also meant to do the work: plan a task, run it on a cloud machine after you log off, and come back with a finished document or a pull request. Google says nearly 90% of the Fortune 100 use it.

The launch prices were simple enough: $21 a seat a month for Business on an annual plan, and from $30 for Standard and Plus, the same as Microsoft 365 Copilot at $30. Google's product page no longer lists prices, though, and points you to sales or a 30-day trial of Plus.

The catch: the edition you start on matters more than it looks. Business, built for teams of up to 500, cannot be upgraded to Standard or Plus because Google offers no data migration path, so a growing company may have to start again. Business also leaves out the mobile app, the Agent Marketplace and Antigravity. On the higher editions, Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 are billed as pay-as-you-go usage on top of the seat, and the background tasks, desktop and mobile apps and third-party model choice Google advertises are still in early access.

The data terms are the good news. Google says prompts, outputs and company data are not used to train its models, and Standard and Plus support VPC Service Controls, customer-managed encryption keys and data residency in the US or EU.

Our take: for a company whose files already live in Drive and Gmail, it is the obvious choice next to a Copilot licence; for a Microsoft shop it is a second agent to govern, and the naming alone will cost your IT team an afternoon.

Where it earns its place

  • An operations lead at a 120-person logistics firm on Google Workspace

Answer customer and supplier questions without searching five systems

Connect Gmail, Drive, Jira and Salesforce and let staff ask in one place; at the launch price of $21 a seat on Business, 120 seats cost about $2,520 a month, but the firm should weigh Standard first because Business cannot be upgraded later.

  • An IT director at a 3,000-person retailer comparing work agents

Choose between Gemini Enterprise and Microsoft 365 Copilot

Both start at $30 a seat a month, so the decision rests on where documents live and which security controls the team needs; Standard adds CMEK, VPC Service Controls and audit logs, and a 30-day Plus trial lets a pilot group test it first.

  • A platform team at a bank running on Google Cloud

Give engineers an agent that writes code inside the company's own controls

Standard and Plus include AI developer tools such as Antigravity with monthly seat credits for Gemini models; switching on Claude Opus 5.5 bills it as pay-as-you-go usage against the project's monthly spend limit.

Cost at scale
At launch prices, 500 Standard seats cost about $15,000 a month before pay-as-you-go agent compute and Claude usage, which run against a monthly spend limit set per project.
Limits
