invideo AI

Prompt-to-video agent that writes, voices and edits whole videos, with Seedance and Nano Banana built in and a timeline editor.

Our rating

3.8/5

invideo makes a passable finished video from one prompt, but each seat's monthly credits buy about 20 five-second clips of generated footage, so stock still does most of the work.

What it is

invideo AI turns a prompt or script into a complete video: it writes the script, picks or generates footage, adds a voice-over, music and captions, and assembles the edit. Its agents handle the planning, and you can then change things with plain-language commands or in a timeline editor that the company says is on every plan.

Generation runs on outside models. Starter gets only ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini; Plus and Max get every Seedance model, including Seedance 2.5 at 1080p and Seedance 2.0 at 4K. Images use Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image models. invideo says all models are charged at their original API pricing, converted to credits.

Plans are per seat: Starter $20 a month or $10 billed yearly with 400 credits, Plus $60 or $30 with 2,000, and Max $150 or $75 with 5,000. Credits do not roll over, and the pricing page reserves the right to change credit costs at any time without notice.

Our review

invideo is built for people who need finished videos, not clips: YouTube explainers, faceless channels, product promos and social ads. One agent pass writes the script, chooses footage, records a voice and adds captions, and typed instructions such as shortening the intro do the rest. That is the product's real advantage over generating clips in Kling or Flow and editing them yourself.

The economics of generated footage are the catch. invideo's own rate card puts a five-second Seedance 2.5 clip at about 96 credits in 1080p and 56 in 720p. Plus includes 2,000 credits a seat, which is roughly 20 five-second 1080p clips, or under two minutes of generated footage a month; the page's own estimate is about 52 Seedance 2 videos on Plus and 131 on Max. Credits do not roll over, and invideo says it can change credit costs without notice, so a monthly budget is an estimate rather than a commitment.

The data terms deserve a read before a brand uploads anything. The privacy policy lets invideo train or fine-tune its own models on user content, inputs and outputs under legitimate interests, with no toggle; deleting the data or the account stops future use. It also routes work to two tiers of outside AI providers, and 'Experimental Tier' providers may use content to improve their own models. The policy does not say how you would know which tier processed your job. invideo's trust centre page did not load any content when we checked, so certifications are not confirmed here.

The pricing page itself is sloppy in small ways. It lists an annual saving of $885 per Max seat when the arithmetic gives $900, and its footer names Veo 3.1, Sora 2 and Kling without saying which plans include them, although OpenAI switched off the Sora API on 24 September 2026. CapCut covers similar Seedance generation inside a stronger editor, and HeyGen or Synthesia handle on-screen presenters better; invideo's case rests on doing the whole video, script included, faster than either.

Where it earns its place

  • A solo operator running two faceless YouTube channels

Publish four eight-minute explainers a week without filming

Script, stock footage, AI voice and captions come out of one prompt, then typed edits fix pacing. Plus at $30 a month billed yearly covers it if most scenes are stock; generated Seedance shots at about 96 credits per five seconds use the 2,000 credits quickly.

  • A five-person marketing team at a B2B software company

Turn each product release into a 60-second promo and three social cuts

Five Plus seats on yearly billing cost $1,800 a year and come with 10 free guest seats for reviewers. Upload only footage you are content to see used for training, since the policy permits it and offers no switch.

  • A developer evaluating invideo for a client's content pipeline

Decide whether to automate video creation through it

invideo is a web app, and its pricing page advertises no public API or SDK. Plan on people driving it by hand, or look at model APIs directly and assemble the edit in your own code.
